Vote for Chris Emmas-Williams for Codnor and Waingroves
Many people across Amber Valley contact me and ask for help. Sometimes it is just a case of pointing them in the right direction, or writing a letter, email or phone call. Other times I have been involved in mediation, or liaising with the community safety teams to ensure that drug issues are dealt with or anti-social behaviour is dealt with. Often, it is around planning issues, and I work hard to protect Green Belt, Heritage land and prevent dangerous contaminated land being used for housing. I am the proud father of two daughters and grandfather to three wonderful grandchildren. Anne and myself settled in Codnor in 1977 when we got married. I am now retired after 41 years of service at Rolls Royce, and devote my spare time volunteering in the community. I am the chair of the Severn Almshouse Trust and the Codnor Sports Charitable Trust, I am a school governor and I am also leader of Codnor Parish Council.
“I have been proud to be your councillor for 35 years. Last May I was honoured to be elected Leader of Amber Valley Borough council. We made promises to protect the greenbelt, take action on climate change, increase CCTV and to bring in tighter rules to protect against dog fouling. I have kept every promise.”
