Vote for Marlene Bennett - Amber Valley Borough Council Alfreton Ward

Picture
Alfreton and District Labour Party are happy to announce that Marlene Bennett MBE will be once again standing for election in May for the Alfreton Ward of Amber Valley.
Marlene has been a councillor for many years and has represented Alfreton on both the Borough and Town Council.
She has been both Mayor and Deputy Mayor on both councils.

When speaking to Marlene recently she had said how proud she is again to be given the opportunity to stand for election to represent Alfreton and its residents.  Marlene has been very concerned over the past year because of the pandemic and that the usual groups/coffee morning she regularly attended had not been able to take place but had kept in touch with lots of the people who attended these groups by telephone.  She is looking forward when lock down ends in June that these groups will be able to start up again.  One she is looking forward to is a group that she helped to start up along with another person in 2019 and gave funds to from her councillor community fund is a loneliness club which meet at a local church.  She is at the moment getting ready all being well to start this group in July.
Marlene is raring to get out and see her friends and constituents at the many places she visits within the Town of Alfreton and surrounding area.
